The Town of Pittsville is announcing the hire of a new employee, FRANK DALE MONROE who began employment on March 22, 2021. Dale has experience in water/sewer installations, mechanics, and public works. Dale has been assigned to the Department of Public Works working at the Waste Water Treatment Plant and also will be assisting when needed with street maintenance and grass cutting. WELCOME ABOARD DALE!!!
CODE ENFORCEMENT UPDATE
With the oncoming of the spring season and grass and yard maintenance beginning the Town wants to remind our citizen/residents that “the uncontrolled growing of grass/weeds higherthan twelve (12) inches is a violation of municipal code”. We will appreciate your cooperation in adhering to our code.
The Town would like to remind all that before any work is to commence on your property to include the construction/installation of sheds or other accessory structures a building permit is required to be obtained and approved by the Town before any work can begin. Applications can be obtained during regular business hours at the Town Hall. If you have any questions, please call the town Hall for clarification about obtaining a building permit.

GOOD NEWS! The “solar panels “ project for the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) on Gumboro Road has progressed to the point that work will begin in early April. This project is funded primarily by a grant from the State of Maryland and municipal local funds. Once completed it is anticipated that the utility costs for the WTP will be greatly reduced.
